Ian is a Data and Systems Expert with a track record of optimizing, upgrading and implementing systems, processes and helping businesses make better use of their data. His background in finance, telecoms, retail, insurance, banking and transport allows him now as an associate of HOPS, to create data solutions which can be embedded in all system processes across business units to add greater value across the business. As a data, process and systems expert with various companies, Ian has a track record in assisting system users to design processes and improve data quality. Ian actively embraces global diversity in organisations achieving successful outcomes and supporting teams to perform at optimal levels. He has delivery experience in large complex transformation programmes delivering ERP Platforms in the private sector, within the UK and internationally.
Ian has the ability to quickly assess situations and align problems that jointly involve people, processes and data to achieve a best practice way of working. He provides data governance framework solutions that encapsulates best practice strategy for programmes/projects and delivers a timely solution with customers. His passion involves leaving the teams with more knowledge and capability so that they continue with furthering the organisations aims in optimising the usage of data to produce longer term benefits.
His engagement with business sponsors, data owners and process owners as a data scientist aligns the problems to processes, data, managers in a way that can influence how organisations approaches a business challenge and designs a solution that is sealed with new data governance.
His strong business acumen, coupled with the ability to communicate findings to both business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organisation approaches a business challenge and how a solution can add value to the organisation.
Ian gained his BSc in Computer Science at North London University and continued his business knowledge through practicing in finance and held numerous roles in large scale transformation programmes and projects.
